I Am. . .A Lesson For Lunch Bunch

Yesterday I told you all about the BYOU magazine (including a chance to win a 1 year subscription).  Today I want to show you a lesson idea that I got from reading the magazine.  I asked the girls to think about themselves, what they loved, and what makes them who they are.  We grabbed some paper and markers and wrote the answers in a spiral until we got to the middle of the paper.  I then asked them to draw a symbol in the center that summed them up.  I started mine on the board.

You can see them working. . .

These haven’t been finished and were left behind to work on later before bringing them home, but I had to hang them up and display.  They are so cute!

It was fun to share and hear what everyone had to say.  We also tried to guess at some of the answers before they were given.  This was a perfect lesson for a group with 30 minutes or less. . .
