1.having treacherously changed allegiance.“a renegade bodyguard”
synonyms: treacherous, traitorous, disloyal, treasonous, rebel, mutinous “renegade troops”
What do you think it means to be a “Renegade?” A rebel? Yes. One who defies all the odds. Someone who probably has been told multiple times, “You CAN’T do that.” “You’re not sighted, you’re not strong enough, you are physically unable, you’re not smart enough.. . ”
So, if it means to rebel against the status quo, to push yourself, to challenge the ideals of others, then I say, “Go ahead, and DO IT!”
I showed this to my 6th graders today for Lunch Bunch. “How is he doing that?”, “Look at him riding a bike!”, “Look, he’s climbing the mountain!” “If he can do it, so can I!”
My challenge. . .how can we be renegades? How can we make a difference for the better when everyone else says it can’t be done? How can one small person make a big impact? What can we do to challenge everyone who says it can’t be done?
Who’s up for my challenge? My kiddos are. Are you?
